Sabudana khichdi (fast and easy) Recipe

Sabudana is a good source of energy, easy to digest, and prevents constipation. It is a rich source of carbohydrates and has a cooling effect on the body. Sabudana khichdi with vegetables and peanuts makes it a good health food option for pregnant women.

Note- Avoid if diabetes in this you need to avoid carbohydrates Sabudana is rich in it and starch als.

Sabudana is gluten-free and can serve as an excellent substitute for wheat-based flour and grains. High in carbs, this food item helps in building essential fat tissues and bone repair. Since sabudana is high in calories and carbohydrates, it helps in gaining some extra kilos

There are two types of sabudana available in the market so buy regular one that we use in khichdi.

This is simple and very flavorful. This is a Gujarati or Maharashtrian style recipe that I used to eat with my friends in hostel time for breakfast and in their fasting time.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 gm Regular sabudana (sago dana)
  • 1 medium boiled potato cut in small pices
  • 20 gm raw peanuts
  • 3-4 curry leavs
  • 1 Cumin seeds
  • 1 ginger pices very small ,grated
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 tbsp salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions
 

  • first of all wash with 2 water and sock sabudana for 3 to 4 hr or overnight also.
  • Dry roast and roughly crush the raw peanuts and keep saparate
  • In a hot pan put oil, then add Cumin seeds, curry leaves, and grated ginger, fry for 1 minute then add boiled potato and add socked and removed sabudana, add salt in it fry it 2 more minutes lastly add crushed peanuts and cover pen cook for 5 minutes.
