The Mutton chops /lamb chops are by far one of the most popular and widely available cuts of lamb.
These perfectly portioned chops are easy to cook either on a grill or pan-fried.Serve it over rice, fried potatoes, or with a salad and you have a healthy, quick meal.
What is mutton / what kind of meat is mutton?
All mutton meats and lamb meats it all about animal ages only. Mutton and lamb refer to the meat that comes from sheep. In South Asian or Caribbean cuisine, mutton refers to the meat of male goats. In India however, we often refer to both sheep and goat meat as mutton.

There are many recipes but now i will make dry which is easy to make you just have to marinate it minimum for 5 hr and a maximum for 24-72 hr ,keep in refrigerator.
Mutton Chops with different ways.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds lamb chops
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander (powder)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon Juice
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil/Olive Oil
- Salt, to taste
Mutton Chops
Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb chops
- 1 black paper freshly ground
- ½ cup vegetable oil/Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp salt totaste
- 2 tbsp lemon Juice freshly squeezed
- 1 Â ground cumin fresh
- 1 ground coriander fresh
Instructions
- Add ground black pepper, ground coriander, ground cumin, lemon juice and oil in a medium bowl.Add the lamb chops, cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour if time then more.
- Cook the lamb chops for 10 to 12 minutes on each side on the grill or under the broiler in the oven. Season with salt.
- Or you can pressure cook for 10min and fry in pan for 2 mints.
- Serve it over rice, fried potatoes, or with a salad and you have a healthy, quick meal.
