kala chana recipe is one pot recipe easy to cook and tasty to eat. There is different method of cook like curry, dry, or salad here this post is for simple dry method in pressure cooker.

Ingredients
  

  • 150 g Kala chana/Black chickpeas soak over night
  • 1 tomato(optional) roughly chopped
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli as per taste finely chopped
  • tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander chopped
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • ¼ tbsp Heeng/ Asafoetida
  • cup water

Instructions
 

  • soak kala chana/black chickpeas for night or minimum 5 hr.
  • Heat oil in a cooker,When oil is hot add Heeng/ Asafoetida and Jeera/cumin when Jeera starts to crackle, add onion and fry untill light brown then kala chana, Haldi/Turmeric Powder, tomato and Salt Mix all well cook for a mints, lastly add water and pressure cook on high fame until 3 vessle.
  • When chana is soft Mix well and cook again on high flame for 1-2 minutes water dry.
  • serve with lamon and puri
