- 4 Onion finely chopped
- ½ Cup Gram Flour
- ¼ Cup Rice Flour
- ½ tbsp grated Ginger
- A pinch of Baking Soda (soda-bi-carbonate)
- 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves finely chopped
- 500 gm oil for deep fry
- 2 Green chili finely chopped
- 1 salt to taste
- ⅓ tbsp turmeric powder
- ⅓ Red Chilli Powder
Add gram flour, rice flour, ginger, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, baking soda, coriander leaves and salt.Mix well using spoon and keep aside for 10 minutes.
Add water little by little (approx. 1/4 cup) and mix all the ingredients such that sliced onion is coated well with flour batter
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium flame,Drop 1 pice of onion if it comes upward immediately, drop small fritters into the oil as per space 6 or 8 and deep-fry until they turn golden brown in color,keep stirring occasionally in between so that they cook evenly and keep heat/flame to medium.
Take out and drain excess oil,Repeat the process for remaining batter, now serve with tea and chutney.
